Gramercy Park Hotel 2 Lexington Avenue

A New York fixture since 1924, the Gramercy Park Hotel was sold to Ian Schrager in 2003, who transformed the historic building back into a luxury hotel. Although the hotel has been completely redone, the original Bohemian feel is still abundant, but with a 21st century flair. Statement-making furniture and an amazing use of color have created an original style.

The Private Roof Club and Garden has a retractable roof 16 stories above the city, offering a unique indoor and outdoor space. This intimate space is available exclusively to hotel guests and select private members. Hotel guests also enjoy access to a coveted private key to Gramercy Park. This is an enviable perk, as the only other people with access are those who live in the 39 buildings facing the park.

The Rose Bar and Jade Bar are located adjacent to the Gramercy Park Hotel and are two of the most talked about nightlife spots in New York City. The atmosphere is set by candlelight, and accented through the design. Sipping a cocktail, sitting in the custom-designed furniture, patrons enjoy artwork from the likes of Warhol, Basquiat, and Schnabel. If you are seeking the real New York experience, as a tourist or as a resident, be sure to spend some time at the Gramercy Park Hotel.
