Manhattan > Lower East Side > 10 Rutgers Street

Everywhere we look on the Lower East Side we see these new condos going up in this super hip neighborhood. The Lower East Side is definitely hot, but don’t feel left out if you are not ready to buy an apartment. At 10 Rutgers you can rent in a post-war building and still live in one of the coolest neighborhoods.
10 Rutgers is located on Rutgers Street between Henry Street and East Broadway. It is a low rise elevator building with an attended lobby. It also has many amenities you would find in a luxury condo: fitness center, courtyard/garden, bike room, and laundry room. It even has a keyless entry system.
One of the greatest things about living here is that there is literally a subway stop right on your corner. Also, how great it is to be directly across from a park? Not to mention all the great nightlife happenings within walking distance.
Rents at 10 Rutgers are now staring at $2,000 for a studio and $2,400 for a one-bedroom. I like this building particularly because it is one of the few modern rental buildings on the Lower East Side. If you are thinking about purchasing in this neighborhood, but want to give it a shot first, this is a perfect place to do that. And if you find yourself looking at this rental building and realizing that you love this chic neighborhood enough to buy, check out the new condo around the corner at 21 Ludlow.
