Manhattan > Midtown East > Fig & Olive

Affordable, but not cheap; vibrant, but not too loud – it’s no surprise that nearly every table at Fig & Olive is occupied by a small group of gaggling girls or a couple on a first date.
The small chain of Mediterranean restaurants offers a great selection of salads, fish, and pasta dishes, all of which incorporate olive oil in some way. For fig lovers, the restaurant is especially great during high-season for figs when the spot serves delicious fig tarts and their signature Fig and Olive salad – which comes with an abundance of fresh figs. For those looking to take some olive oil home, a selection is offered for sale and the knowledgeable staff can help guide you through the selection process.
Shelby, our waitress was very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were exactly as she described.
All of Fig & Olive’s locations have an airy, summery feel with bright walls and wicker armchairs. Plus, there’s a wide selection of wines by the bottle as well as by the glass, making this a relaxing spot for lunch, weekend brunch or for dinner.
