The cult rock glam French label has finally opened a store in Manhattan. No need to fly back to Paris every time you crave one of their feather-like cashmere sweaters, you can now indulge at the new Meatpacking District boutique which offers all of their lines: womens, mens, kids, accessories and fragrances.

The new store is even edgier than their French counterparts. The array of pastel and soft toned pieces are reflected in the mirrored ceiling. And, as usual, they are to die for. The classic Tunisian sweaters are the same price tag as their French counterpart, making them 40% more affordable and even more desirable.

And that’s Zadig & Voltaire’s magic power; they make you addicted to their clothes. Without even realizing it, I have managed to acquire the “Mick” sweater, the “Elvis” sweater, the “Rocks” dress, an angel-winged tee and a sweater version, a bull head t-shirt, a skirt and a black deep V-neck and I still crave more. I told you, it is a true addiction which I am now propagating to my husband and kids. Their newest sweater: the one DIY one. Don’t worry, the cute smiling French sales person (ask for Fiona, she’s a doll) are not going to make you pick up knitting, you’ll just have to pick the color and thickness of your cashmere sweater, the shape of the collar and the inscription at the back, isn’t that cool? And it also makes the most fabulous baby gift. Just a tip though: put a neutral inscription on the back – it is a really special gift and they might want to be able to pass it on to their siblings.
